Dr Russell Wiseman
Dr Russell Wiseman is an Australian born and trained GP, having graduated from the Uni of QLD in 1981. He has wide experience in Rural Family Practice and practiced in Yamba, Northern NSW for 15 years before returning to QLD in 1998.
His particular interest is Asthma & Respiratory Medicine and he is a foundation member of GPAG (General Practitioner Asthma Group) and sits as a committee member of the National Asthma Council and Lung Foundation Australia. He was an avid snow skier and traveller along with his wife Carrie and children Michael and Jeb, but now enjoys his acreage and Grandsons.
Dr Greg Beak
Greg hails from a Central QLD cattle property, and was educated in Rockhampton and is a graduate of the University of QLD. He established Peregian Beach Medical Centre in 1979. Greg is experienced in all aspects of General practice with a special interest in geriatrics, skin diseases, travel medicine and cardiovascular medicine.
Greg is a keen snow skier. Daughter Natalie is the lead of production design at AFTRS (The Australian Film, TV & Radio School) and also works in film and television, and Son Charles is working in immunology at QLD Health.
Dr Karen Sander
Karen brings with her 25 years of GP experience along with a variety of roles in sport, sexual health and emergency medicine.
Her focus is keeping people healthy through attention to their lifestyle, including nutrition, sleep, exercise and mental attitude, allowing the body to heal itself. She combines a thorough grounding in western medicine with the use of complementary therapies to give maximum benefit.
Dr Jamie Sharkey
Dr Jamie Sharkey is an Australian born and trained Gp, having graduated from the Uni of Sydney in 2003 after working as a Seaman Officer in the Royal Australian Navy. He has wide experience in Family Practice and IVF Medicine working as a Fertility Specialist for Monash IVF 2014-2016.He also has an interest in Travel Medicine.
Jamie also regularly locums to Christmas Island to work as a GP/Emergency doctor. He paraglides, scuba dives, hikes and loves to travel.
Dr Dean Slawson
Dr Dean Slawson graduated from the University of Queensland in 2010. He completed his resident training on the Sunshine Coast including 2 years as a surgical registrar in General Surgery, Urology and Vascular Surgery. After 6 months of travel he moved to Central Queensland in 2016 to complete General Practice training and obtained fellowship of the RACGP in 2017. He moved back to the Sunshine Coast in 2020.
He enjoys all aspects of General Practice and has a particular interest in skin cancer medicine, men’s health, mental health, chronic disease management and preventive health care.
Outside of work he enjoys travel, music, surfing, snowboarding and spending time with his family.
Dr Suzanne Christine
Dr Suzanne Christine is a highly accomplished General Practitioner at Suncoast Medical Centre in Coolum Beach, Queensland. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame Fremantle in 2013 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2019. Dr. Christine also holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Georgia State University, USA, and a Master of Public Health from the University of Wollongong, NSW.
Dr Moira Perumal – Locum Doctor
Dr Moira Perumal graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Natal. She is an accredited Fellow of The Royal Australian Colledge of General Practitioners (FRACGP) as well. She has profound experience in all aspects of general medicine. She is especially interested in Mental Health, Women’s Health, Children’s Health and Chronic Disease Management.
