Appointments

We run an appointment system, but keep a few times open to fit in urgent problems.

You can make an appointment with your doctor online via HotDoc or by telephoning the surgery on 07 5446 5999. Urgent medical problems will be dealt with promptly.

Appointments are normally made at 15-minute intervals, so you can usually expect to spend 10-15 minutes with your doctor. Longer appointments in excess of 15 minutes are available and are usually arranged for complete physicals or other examinations for specific purposes (eg: Management and Care Plans, Post natal checks for mother and baby, insurance or employment medicals, procedures and some immunisations, Centrelink forms and any other paperwork) Please check your need for a longer consultation with our receptionist prior to making your appointment.

Unless it is urgent, it is advisable to schedule your appointment well in advance to enable you to book the doctor and time of your choice.

Whilst we endeavour to answer all your telephone calls promptly, at certain times our lines may be busy or our receptionist taking another call. When this occurs you will be advised by a recorded message and you will be attended to as soon as possible.

If you are new to the practice you may need a long appointment at your first consultation to enable you to bring the GP up to date with your medical history. If the consultation is for something simple ie ear ache, sore throat etc you will probably only require a standard appointment.

We are open for a few hours on Saturday for more urgent matters that can’t wait until Monday morning please phone for appointments.
